As part of Florida State University's commitment to advancing graduate education, and in alignment with FSU's Quality Enhancement Plan, the university is investing in more integrated planning tools to support both faculty advisors and your students.
A key initiative is the phased rollout of the Stellic degree audit and planning platform for graduate programs. Stellic is a robust and interactive degree-planning tool that helps track students' curricular and non-curricular requirements. More details about the rollout will be forthcoming, and we look forward to communicating with you along the way.
What is the timeline?
The project team has been actively engaged in gathering information from academic colleges and departments since January. The first of seven rollout phases will be introduced in Spring 2026, with the goal of onboarding all graduate and professional programs by Fall 2027.
What does this mean for me as a faculty advisor?
For now, you don't need to do anything. In the coming weeks, you will be invited to online information sessions to view the platform, ask questions, and provide feedback. These will take place from the end of October through mid-November. We greatly value your input during these sessions and encourage you to sign up.
Who is working on this?
The Stellic transition is coordinated by The Graduate School and the Office of the University Registrar, under the new Student Academic Success division. An advisory committee has been offering invaluable guidance on broader university issues related to Stellic integration throughout this process.
Who will use Stellic?
All graduate students will eventually use Stellic for planning and tracking. Every college and department has unique educational and research needs based on their discipline, and the extent of use may vary across units. Faculty may find it particularly helpful in centrally tracking discipline-specific accreditation or co-curricular requirements, such as conference papers or clinical hours outside of class, and other milestones. Integration between Stellic and Campus Solutions means changes in courses and grades will be automatically visible to students and faculty.
