Orientation Advising

All new undergraduate students, including transfer students, attend New Nole Orientation. You will receive information from Admissions about how to register for an Orientation session. New students will meet with an academic advisor for the first time during their scheduled Orientation session, and will register for classes following academic advising. You do not need to schedule an appointment. For more information about New Nole Orientation, visit the New Student & Family Programs website: https://dsst.fsu.edu/nsfp

Students can review the Academic Program Guide to find out more information about their major choice. It is best practice to review this information prior to attending orientation advising.

It’s All Academic and the Garnet and Gold Essentials for Transfer Students are the guidebook students received during orientation. The guidebook has important information about academic policies, Liberal Studies/General Education courses, university-wide requirements, technology tips, campus resources, and so much more!
